Message I’ve taken the month of March off to go to rehab my knee, go to the gym and clean up my garage. Fortunately, I’ve had a little time to clean out the garage and sell a ton of car and TTZ http://motors.search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ25QQsassZredmondmotorsports ] "> parts.

I’ve met some very less than honest folks and some really great folks as well while trying to sell off a bunch of TTZ items, which brings me to the subject. I originally purchased one of Coz’s (Brembo) http://conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=309&Car_Type=300&UID=20060323175401 ]"> CZP 300ZX Upgraded Brake Kits for my Z but later decided to go with Stoptechs Front and Rear. I initially was going to keep my OEM calipers and Coz upgrades but decided to put them up for sale. I let a several fellow TT.NET members know that I had them for sale and with in a couple of days received a call from someone, locally (WA).

In negotiating price with the fellow he mentioned that he and his wife were in the military and that they had an infant son. He said that he had recently returned from Iraq and was starting work on his car. I explained that I greatly appreciated his family’s sacrifice, and that I would take $50 off the agreed price of $750. He agreed and said he would call me in a few days after he discussed it with his wife. A few days later he called to let me know he had spoken to his wife and that he did want the ttz calipers and Coz’s Upgrade kit.

I met with he and his family a few hours later and sold him the items. As he and his family drove off I started thinking why not show some genuine appreciation so I called him on his cell and asked him if he could come back as I had forgotten to give him a couple of parts. When he re-arrived, I returned his $700 and explained that I would like to give he and his family this money with no strings attached.

Well, he was genuinely taken back. Oh, I explained there was one catch that he and his wife would NOT spend the money on car parts but use it on the family and consider investing it and that I would require his word. He agreed to the terms and later called me back still quite stunned to say thanks.

Final thought, I would like to encourage others to perhaps give this a try and support our troops. When your far away from home there is not much is to think about but cars and girls :)
